Christmas in Warsaw: get ready!
If you are a foreigner in Warsaw, in December you have the opportunity to get to know Polish hospitality and traditions at their best. The Christmas Fair started on November 23rd. You will find it in the Old Town, near the Barbican, every day until January 6. And this is just the first option from a long list of attractions that will take place in Warsaw in the coming weeks!
We know from our friends who rent our rooms in Warsaw that Polish Christmas markets are just the best. You can eat delicious food there, buy souvenirs, watch a concert or show street artists. You can also meet many interesting people. A visit to the fair should be a must for Erasmus students in Warsaw!
Polish design means the best gifts and you can buy it at several other events in next few weeks. First, the Grand Bazaar (nowy Świat Street) - on November 30. The next day, December 1, Christmas markets will be held at the Palace of Culture and Science. There will also be many gift ideas, good food and great fun. On December 7, we invite everyone to the Oriental Christmas Bazaar at the Asia-Pacific Museum, if you have had enough of typical gifts from Poland. On 7 and 8 December at Mińska 65 there will be a Slow Weekend - "Buy Better Gifts". Here you will definitely find something that will not ruin your student's budget.
For those who leave the shopping at the last minute, on December 14-15, the Palace of Culture and Science will host a classic event: Mustache Yard Sale vol. 34 - Gift Festival. More details can be found in the Facebook event.
For latecomers, even December 21-22 will be able to buy gifts at two events: at Bracka 25 and Nowy Świat 6/12.
Too much about gifts? If you think that Christmas is the best opportunity to enjoy the company of people rather than buying gifts, be sure to visit the Christmas Market and Old Town. We recommend walking after dark, when all holiday decorations are lit. You can easily reach the Old Town in Warsaw from any of our apartments for rent. If you're looking for directions, simply enter "National Museum" or "Old Town" on Google Maps. Beautiful memories guaranteed!
